2023 – 2024 Project and Tender Support Mountain Flying Courses (winning bid)
For this tender, Rick managed the submission process on behalf of our client for Mountain Flying Courses for a Ministry of Defence. Mountain flying is a specialized aviation training focused on operating safely and efficiently in challenging mountainous terrain, often involving unique weather conditions and high-altitude navigation.
The winning company stood out for its unmatched expertise in high-altitude operations and its state-of-the-art fleet specifically designed for demanding mountain environments.
Rick’s role in this project involved establishing a clear project structure, reviewing, evaluating, and providing feedback on tender documents, supporting the production of the tender documentation, and preparing and executing the project kick-off with both the client and the end-customer.
2023 – 2024 Project and Tender Support NL MoD Residential Home Security (winning bid)
The project involved providing residential security services for the Ministry of Defence in Curaçao and Aruba.
Residential security encompasses:
- Monitoring and securing homes in Curaçao and Aruba.
- Supplying, installing, and maintaining surveillance and security equipment.
- Alarm response: responding to (electronic) alarm notifications, verifying the alert, and taking necessary actions within legal boundaries to stop any intrusion.
- The security measures cover all residences in Curaçao and Aruba for Ministry of Defence personnel who require residential security.
In this project, Rick was responsible for setting up a structure, reviewing, evaluating, and commenting on tender documents, as well as assisting in the final production of tender documentation.
2022 – 2023 Project and Tender Support NL MoD Seat Suspension Unit FRISC (winning bid)
This tender involved the delivery of 320 Seat Suspension Units (SSU) with an option for 100 additional units for the Fast Raiding, Interception & Special Forces Craft (FRISC). The Maintenance Group Small Above Water (IG KBW) is one of the six organizational units of the Maritime Maintenance Department (AMI), a division of the Directorate of Materiel Maintenance (DMI). IG KBW is responsible for the material readiness of various assets, including the FRISC vessels. Due to occupational health complaints from crew members, the SSUs on all FRISC units needed replacement.
The winning company, Reiger Suspension, is renowned for its high-performance suspension systems. With decades of experience, Reiger specializes in custom suspension solutions for a wide range of applications, including motorsports and military vehicles. Their expertise ensures that the new SSUs will significantly improve the comfort and safety of the FRISC crews.
In this project, my responsibilities included setting up a structure, reviewing, evaluating, and commenting on tender documents, as well as assisting in the final production of tender documentation.
2021 – 2022 Project and Tender Support NL MoD CAS/ISR (winning bid)
On July 12th the Netherlands MoD announced it has awarded its latest, multi-year aerial services contract to domestic defence company AEC Skyline. The contract’s five year framework includes the delivery of airborne (JTAC CAS) and threat simulation, jamming and ISR services, as well as advice & assistance and support to concept development & experimentation activities by the Netherlands military.
